SF Silver Creek (V) part2

I did this run last year (2006, please visit my blog), but I portaged two hard rapids, Skycraper and Plastic Surgery. This year (June 2nd, 2007), I ran this run with Evan, Geno, Brandi and Thomas and did both rapids. I got to know those people through boof.com and met for the first time on that day. Brandi's husband, Jeremy, hiked down with us from putin to takeout to shoot us by video. To see the very nice movie that Evan produced, please visit his website. You can also see lots of other wonderful videos that Evan produced. Another movie by someone else at higher flow is here.

Five weeks after paddling this run, I visited it again with my son, Kenya, for swimming. The flow was optimal to swim and play in the water. Here is the Plastic Surgery.

Skycraper and Off ramp.

Skyscraper.

Skyscraper. The spot where Kenya is standing is the line.

Last big fall of Teacups.

Kenya jumping into the pool below the first big drop of Teacups. It was very deep, maybe, 20 feet or deeper.

Kenya jumping into the pool below the second big drop of Teacups. We brought diving mask to play with fishes. We found several rainbow trouts in some pools.

Kenya jumping into the pool below the last big drop of Teacups.

Kenya's Zen training under the waterfall.

He was going to play Superman.

This is nice slide below Skyscraper and above Off ramp, but it's not easy to play here without wetsuit. Otherwise, skin is scratched by rough rock surface.
