This is one of very convenient classIV run because of easy access from Sacramento and easy (10 min) shuttle. I did lower half of this run for the first time in 2004 at only 500 cfs.
The riverbed in the middle of this picture was completely under the water at 1,300 cfs or higher.
Thanks for posting some great pictures. I can't remember what the flow was long ago when I kayaked the lower section of this run, but your post does bring back some great memories.
Hi, I'm Masaaki, a Japanese paddler. I have lived in Davis, California since 2001. Although I began to paddle in Japan 10 years ago, I came to be crazy for whitewater paddling after I had moved to California. Northern California is Heaven for all paddlers because of many great runs. In addition, I could have got to know lots of good paddling friends. I would like to thank here all people who let me join your group. Many thanks to Gold County Paddlers club, too. So far, I have accumulated tons of paddling photos. I will show here those old ones and new pictures that I will take in my new runs. Comments in both English and Japanese are welcome to iloveca49@yahoo.co.jp.
Dec/2005.
